Viktor Bukhrov, The Maiden's Tower is located on the Asian side of Istanbul on a small island in the Bosphorus Strait in the Üsküdar district. The tower is one of the city's symbols. It is depicted, in particular, in Aivazovsky's painting "View of the Leander Tower in Constantinople." Thank you for your interest.
Viktor Bukhrov, yeah, it used to be a lighthouse. Rusalka Shake, The Bosphorus divides Istanbul into Europe and Asia, so Kız Kulesi is probably located on the border, and historically so too (although, of course, you're right that it's closer to the Asian shore-) ... as for photography, I'm not into it-))
